ELGIN, IL. - Adding another top duo from the Fox Valley area, Judson University women's soccer coach Diego Cevallos has announced that both Jacqueline Rosato and Emily Preis will be playing for the Eagles in the 2009 season. Rosato and Preis are two of the top players for Jacobs High School in Algonquin, Illinois.

They join the recruiting class of Huntley High School's Kristina Barreto, Kaylee O'Brien, and Lauren Opolony, Stevenson's Jenna Schiller, and Elgin Larkin's Kelli Johnson for the 2009 athletic year.

"I am excited to add two more quality players to our already impressive recruiting class," says Diego Cevallos. "I believe these two players will definitely get a chance to step onto the field and contribute to our program from the defensive end."

Rosato is a four-year letter winner and starter for Jacbos H.S. as a defender. She also played club soccer for KUFC Premier and were ranked as high as #2 in the state of Illinois. She is a also a two-year letter winner in basketball. She is the daughter of James Rosato and Sharon Rosato and is undecided in her major.

Cevallos says, "Jacqueline possess' an amazing work ethic that will push our team to higher limits. She is a strong, has a strong defensive technique, and her presence on the field is obvious."

A three-year letter winner for Jacbos H.S., Preis is strong defender. She has been named to an all-Tournament team while at Jacobs. In club soccer, she plays for C.L. Force Elite. She is the daughter of Gary and Deanna Preis and will major in education.

"Emily possess' a vision for the game that will be an immediate impact on the team. She has a good quality of technical and tactical skills," quotes Cevallos.

The Judson women's soccer team went 7-11-1 in the 2008 season and played one of the toughest schedules in the NAIA…In the 2008 season, Judson played nine teams that were at one point either ranked or receiving votes and played two teams in the top 10…The 2008 season also brought Judson's first-ever win over a NCAA Division I program in a 1-0 double-overtime win against Houston Baptist…Diego Cevallos had the interim lifted from his coaching duties in January as he became the full-time head coach…In 2007, under Freddie King, Judson won their first-ever CCAC Tournament Championship and were rated #1 in region.
