ELGIN, IL. - Producing two come-from-behind wins, Judson University (20-17/13-8) took the CCAC series away from Olivet Nazarene winning 5-3 and 4-3. Judson was down in both games and in the second game scored the winning runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. Judson is now sitting in third place in the CCAC just five games out of first place.

Receiving the wins were Ed Draper (2-2) and Trent Golz (3-4). Bret Ehrlich led Judson by going 4-of-7 on the day with two RBI and hitting in the winning run for the second game win.

Game 1
Judson 5, Olivet Nazarene 3

After Olivet Nazarene took a 3-0 lead in the top of the fifth inning, Judson responded with five runs in the bottom of the inning for the two-run advantage. Draper then recorded four strikeouts over the final two innings to complete the game for the win.

Ehrlich was 2-of-3 with one RBI. Also producing a RBI were Kevin Fischer, Tim Victor, Zach Williams, and Matt McHenry.

With the bases loaded and only one out in the bottom of the fifth inning, Olivet Nazarene's Ryan Forneris walked Fischer to give Judson their first run of the day. Victor followed that with a fielder's choice that scored Royce Krueger to cut the lead to one, 3-2. Ehrlich then hit in his RBI with a single to right field bringing home the tying run.

Olivet Nazarene then relieved Forneris as Chad Steinborn came in and Williams jumped on the new pitcher right away with a single to left center field as Jake Bostwick crossed the plate to give Judson a 4-3 lead. McHenry finished out the scoring for Judson with a single up the middle that had Ehrlich touch home plate for the fifth run of the game.

Draper's strong pitching in the final two innings put the finishing touches on Olivet Nazarene. In the sixth inning, Draper struck two of the three batters out and only gave up one hit. The seventh was almost the same as the first batter struck out which was followed by a single and then a double play to end the game.

Game 2
Judson 4, Olivet Nazarene 3

Ehrlich singled home the winning run with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh inning as Judson swept the double header. Heading into the inning, Judson was down 3-2 and needed to rally for the win.

Royce Krueger was the first batter on base as he was hit by the pitch and then moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Chris Lucius. Bostwick hit an infield single that went off the pitcher's glove to move Krueger to third. Olivet Nazarene's Tyler Shore then hit Fischer in the hand to load the bases. At this point, Olivet Nazarene brought in Brandon Streets to relieve Shore with a bases loaded situation. Facing Victor, Streets walked in the tying run. Ehrlich became the hero of the game in the next at-bat as he hit the walk-off single for the win.

Ehrlich led the team going 2-of-4 with one RBI while Bostwick was 2-of-3 with a RBI. Victor and Williams also had a RBI.

In the win, Judson only left four runners on base while Olivet Nazarene left eight. Olivet Nazarene also committed three errors but did out hit Judson, 8-6.

Judson will host Robert Morris College on Tuesday, April 21st, at 4;00 p.m. at Hoffer Field.
