
MISHAWAKA, IN. - Falling in both games at the Bethel College Tournament, Judson University (21-20) lost to #8 Bethel, 5-1, and to Olivet Nazarene, 12-2.
In the loss to Bethel, Virginia McAndrews was the losing pitcher going seven innings giving up five earned runs with eight strikeouts and seven walks. Nicole Dimiceli was 2-of-4 and Victoria Perez had Judson's lone RBI.
Bethel scored one run in the first and two in the third for a 3-0 lead. Judson cut the lead to two, 3-1, in the bottom of the third inning but Bethel added one more run in the fourth and sixth innings for the win.
Against Olivet Nazarene, Judson was down just three runs, 5-2, heading into the seventh inning and gave up seven runs to make it 12-2. Victoria Perez took the loss going 4.2 innings with no strikeouts and giving up five runs. Lizzy Jacobson finished the final 2.1 innings and had two strikeouts.
Judson only mustarded up three hits as Dimiceli and Perez each had a RBI.
Judson will face Wisconsin-Oshkosh tomorrow and then face another team later in the day.
