ELGIN, IL. - Judson University (21-17/10-6) won their 21st game of the year when they split a CCAC double header with the University of St. Francis. Judson fell in game one, 4-3, but then won game two, 6-2. Virginia McAndrews took the win for her seventh win of the year while Lizzy Jacobson and Concetta Lampugnano each had a homerun.

Game 1
St. Francis 4, Judson 3

St. Francis scored one run in the first inning and two in the fourth to take a 3-0 lead. Judson responded with three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to tie. Victoria Perez doubled to right field scoring Nicole Dimiceli for the first run. Two batters later, Danielle Curylo singled up the middle to bring in Jacobson and Perez.

Just as it looked good for Judson, St. Francis scored the winning run in the top of the fifth inning and then held Judson scoreless the next three innings for the win.

Perez led Judson with by going 2-of-3 at the plate with one RBI while Curylo had two RBI. Jacobson went the distance for the loss and fell to 6-8 on the year with six strikeouts and two walks.

Game 2
Judson 6, St. Francis 2

Judson jumped on St. Francis early in game two with three runs in the first inning. Lampugnano started off the bottom of the first with her third home run of the year over left center field. Curylo brought in the second run of the game with a single up the middle to score Jacobson and then Perez was the third run on the same play on an error by the center fielder.

In the fourth inning, Lampugnano singled home Tricia Lakotish and then in the fifth inning Judson added two more runs to make it 6-0 on Jacobson's home run.

St. Francis broke the shutout bid in the top of the seventh with two unearned runs. McAndrews finished the game with six strikeouts, one walk, and gave up no earned runs.

Leading Judson were Kristin Krueger and Lampugnano with two hits. Lampugnano and Jacobson each homered and had two RBI.

Judson will now travel to Indiana to the Bethel College Tournament where they will face Bethel College, Olivet Nazarene, and Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Friday and Saturday.
