ELGIN, IL. - By sweeping Indiana University-Northwest (1-15), Judson University improved their record to 17-16 and is over the .500 mark for the first time in the 2009 season. Judson came from behind for the game one victory, 7-6, and then won 4-1 in game two. Jason Egli and Matt Musser picked up the wins.

Zach Williams and Matt McHenry each had two hits in game one while Trent Golz recorded two hits in game two. McHenry had three RBI in game one to lead Judson. Kevin Fischer had four stolen bases on the day and now has 26 stolen bases on the season.

Game 1
Judson 7, Indiana-Northwest 6
 

Scoring two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, Judson came from behind for the one-run win to hit the .500 record at 16-16. Jake Bostwick tied the game when he scored on a wild pitch and then five batters later, McHenry singled home Fischer for the game winning run.

McHenry led Judson at the plate going 2-of-4 with three RBI while Williams was 2-of-2 with three runs scored and one RBI. Kevin Fischer and Zach Scipione each had on RBI.

Judson scored three runs in the first two inning for a 3-0 lead but then gave up four in the top of the third to fall behind, 4-3. They tied the game in the bottom of the third but then gave up two more in the top of the fourth to make it 6-4.

In the fifth inning, Judson cut the lead to one, 6-5, and then finished off the game in the bottom of the sixth with two runs for the win.

Jeremy Winnan started his first collegiate game and went four innings and gave up six earned runs and had four strikeotus. Jason Egli went the final three innings in his 16th appearance for the win and is now 4-6 on the year. He had four strikeouts and one walk with no runs given up.

Game 2
Judson 4, Indiana-Northwest 1
 

Matt Musser pitched a gem as he went the distance giving up no earned runs with seven strikeouts to improve to 2-0 on the year.

Judson scored one run in the bottom of the first and then allowed an unearned run in the top of the third. Judson then added two runs in the fourth and one in the fifth for the win. Judson out hit Indiana-Northwest, 9-4.

Trent Golz had two hits for Judson and one RBI. Also adding a RBI was Williams, Manny Bobadilla, and Angel Cisneros.

Judson will host Trinity International at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15th at Hoffer Field.
