
ELGIN, IL. - Winning game one and then falling in game two, Judson University's six game winning streak came to an end against Calumet College. Judson won game one, 6-1, but then dropped game two, 3-2. Ed Draper picked up his first win at Judson and Kevin Fischer stole his 22nd base of the season.
In game one, Judson scored one in the second and four in the fifth to take at 5-0 lead. Calumet College scored their lone run in the bottom of the fifth inning and then Judson added one run in the seventh inning for the win, 6-1.
Fischer, Zach Williams, Matt McHenry, and Royce Krueger all had two hits as McHenry and Krueger added one RBI. Both McHenry and Williams had a triple. Draper went five innings with two strikeouts and one earned run while Scott Newton finished the final two innings.
Calumet College scored the winning run in game two in the bottom of the seventh inning for the win, 3-2. Judson scored first with two runs in the fifth inning. Calumet offered two runs in sixth to tie the game before the winning run in the seventh.
Tim Victor was the only Judson player with two hits and the lone RBI. Trent Golz went the distance for the loss and had five strikeouts.
Judson will be home against Indiana-Northwest on Tuesday, April 14th.
