MT. PLEASANT, IA. - Winning their final game of the day, Judson University finished the Iowa Wesleyan Classic with a 12-1 win over Iowa Wesleyan. Judson dropped their first two games of the day to Hannibal-LaGrange, 7-0, and Iowa Wesleyan, 10-8.

Hannibal-LaGrange 7, Judson 0
Judson scattered six hits in the loss and did not score any runs as Hannibal-LaGrange took the 7-0 win. Hannibal-LaGrange scored four in the second inning, one in the third, and two in the fourth as Judson had seven errors in the game.
 

Judson had six different players with one hit. Lizzy Jacobson had a double for Judson and Virginia McAndrews took the loss and had one strikeout and gave up only one earned run.

Iowa Wesleyan 10, Judson 8
Iowa Wesleyan scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning as they took the 10-8 win over Judson. Judson had a two-run lead going into the final inning but gave up the four runs and then didn't score in the bottom of the inning.
 

Jacobson took the loss as she pitched the final five innings. She had two strikeouts and five earned runs. Alyssa Cook started the game and went two innings with one strikeout and two earned runs. Danielle Curylo led Judson with two hits and two RBI as Sam Gladen had three RBI.

Both teams scored four runs each in the first inning for a tie. In the bottom of the first inning, Judson's Gladen singled to left field to bring home Carrie Sensor and Concetta Lampugnano. Two batters later, Gladen scored on a wild pitch to make it 4-3. On the next pitch, Curylo tied the game on a passed ball.

Iowa Wesleyan retook the lead, 5-4, in the top of the second inning as their lead only lasted briefly as Judson scored two in the bottom of the inning on a Curylo single to bring home Sensor and Victoria Perez. Iowa Wesleyan then tied the game at six in the top of third inning.

Judson made it 7-6 in the bottom of the fourth inning on Gladen sacrifice fly to bring home Perez. In the bottom of the fifth, Kristin Krueger scored on a wild pitch to give Judson the two-run advantage, 8-6. That was it for scoring for Judson they did not leave any runners on in the last two innings. It was an Iowa Wesleyan rally in the top of the seventh that was the difference in the game.

An offensive out break took place in the final game as Curylo and Perez each had a home run and Gladen a triple in the 11-run win. Victoria Perez went the distance and gave up one earned run with one strikeout.
 

Lampugnano and Sensor each had three hits for Judson and Gladen led the team with three RBI. Gladen and Tricia Lakotish also had two hits.

In the first inning, Jacobson singled in Sensor for the first run of the game. Judson then added six runs in the second inning for a 7-0. Curylo started the inning off with a home run inside the park. Four batters later, Krueger walked with the bases loaded for the second run. Sensor followed with a single scoring Lakotish. Jacobson then hit a sacrifice fly for the fourth run bringing in Lampugnano. Gladen cleared the bases as the next batter with a triple for two RBI.

Judson made it 8-0 in the top of the fifth inning with Perez's inside the park home run. Iowa Wesleyan put their lone run on the board in the bottom of the fifth. Judson followed with four runs in the top of the sixth for the 11-run advantage.

Gladen singled in her third RBI of the game for the ninth run of the game as Lampugnano scored. Sensor scored next on an Iowa Wesleyan error and then Curylo crossed the plate on a wild pitch. Gladen then finished off the scoring as she touched home on a wild pitch.

Judson will now face Purdue-North Central in CCAC play on Monday, April 13th, in Indiana.
