DEERFIELD, IL. - Looking strong in CCAC action, Judson University (12-15/7-6) took two games from Trinity International University, 4-2, and 4-0. Steffan Alinkas and John Banks each picked up a win while Ed Draper received a save.

With two combined steals, Kevin Fischer has now tied the Judson single season record for steals at 20. Last season, he also tied the record with 20 steals.

Game 1
Judson 4, Trinity International 2

Alinkas pitched a complete game win for Judson as he went seven innings giving up six hits with two strikeouts. Fischer was 3-of-4 with a stolen base while Chris Lucius was 2-of-3 and Bret Ehrlich 2-of-4. Zach Williams, Royce Krueger, and Mike Krueger all had RBI.

Judson scored one in the first inning on a Williams single as Fischer came across the plate. Judson then added two more runs in the second for a 3-0 lead. Matt McHenry and Royce Krueger both scored. Zach Scipione was the final run to touch the plate in the third inning on Royce Krueger double.

Game 2
Judson 4, Trinity International 0

Banks, Jason Egli, and Ed Draper combined for a shut out win over Trinity International. Banks went 4.1 innings and had six strikeouts and gave up only one hit. Egli then went 2.1 innings and got Judson out of a jam in the fifth inning. In the bottom of the seventh inning, with the bases loaded and TIU's #2 batter up, Draper came in and recorded the final out of the game for the save.

Tim Victor became Judson's first run in the first inning when he scored on a Williams hit. In the sixth inning Judson made it 2-0 when Fischer scored on another Williams single. Judson then added two runs in the seventh inning as Royce Krueger scored on a Fischer single and then Lucius came home on a TIU error.

Williams was 3-of-3 with two RBI to lead Judson. Victor had a double and Fischer had his 20th steal of the season.

Judson will now travel to Wisconsin for a single nine-inning game vs. Cardinal Stritch on Thursday, April 9th, at 3:00 p.m.
