ELGIN, IL. - Lizzy Jacobson led Judson University (15-13/6-4) to a win over Trinity International University (4-24/1-7) in game one, 13-1, both on the mound and at the plate as the Eagles split the CCAC series. Trinity International bounced back to claim their first CCAC win of the year in game two, 5-4.

Game 1
Judson 13, TIU 1

Jacobson went five innings and recorded six strikeouts while allowing only two hits and one earned run. She then went 2-of-2 at the plate with three RBI and one run scored.

Judson exploded for nine runs in the first inning to set the tone of the game. Dana Dimiceli singled in the first two runs of the game scoring both Nicole Dimiceli and Carrie Sensor. After a fielder's choice, Danielle Curylo singled to left field to bring in another two runs for a 4-0 lead. Gladen made it 5-0 as she tapped the plate on a passed ball by Trinity International. Then, two batters later, Carrie Sensor was walked with the bases loaded for a six-run advantage. Nicole Dimiceli followed by being hit by a pitch to score Krueger. Jacobson batted in the final two runs in her second at-bat of the inning with a long single to the short stop scoring both Sensor and Concetta Lampugnano.

In the second inning, Victoria Perez scored from third base on a Trinity International error after being moved over two bases on sacrifices from Samantha Gladen and Curlyo. Judson then added a three-spot on the board in the third inning for a 13-1 lead. Trinity International scored their lone run in the second inning.

Nicole Dimiceli went 2-of-3 with one RBI. Adding two RBI were Dana Dimiceli and Curylo. Brittney Weisensel took the loss for Trinity International.

Game 2
TIU 5, Judson 4

It was a different story in game two as Judson left 12 runners on base and the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth inning. Trinity International's Nicole Eisenberg smacked a clutch home run in the top of the seventh inning to give the Trojans the win, 5-4. Judson threatened in the bottom of the inning as they put two runners on with two outs but did not get the key hit when needed.

Trinity International scored first in the first inning to make it 1-0. Judson took a two-run lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the second inning. Lampugnano singled in two runs and then Victoria Perez came touched home on the same play by a Trinity International error for the 3-1 lead.

Trinity International tied the game in the top of the third inning and then Judson made a move in the fifth inning to take the lead. Judson go-ahead run came when Nicole Dimiceli beat the throw to home on a run down from third base. This was also the inning that the Eagles had the bases loaded with one out but did not hit in any more runs. The Trojans then did their damage in the top of the seventh for the win.

Nikki Prokuski went three innings before being relieved by Perez. Prokuski had two strikeouts and gave up three earned runs. Perez went the final four for the loss and had two strikeouts and one earned run.

Lampugnano led Judson with three hits and two RBI as Dana Dimicel had two hits. Katie Kiscellus won her second game of the year for the Trojans.

Judson will host Cardinal Stritch in a two-game CCAC series on Wednesday, April 8th, starting at 5 p.m. at the Judson Softball Complex.
