ELGIN, IL. - Behind the pitching of Virginia McAndrews, Judson University (13-8/5-3) took game one of the double header against Robert Morris College (15-12/5-10) handing the Eagles their first CCAC loss of the season, 3-1. Judson then fell in game two, 4-2, as Lizzy Jacobson took the loss. Robert Morris was receiving votes this week in the NAIA National Poll.

Jacobson led Judson in hits as she had four combined in the two games and one RBI. The win for McAndrews makes her 4-0 in the CCAC and 4-1 overall.

Game 1
Judson 3, Robert Morris 1

Virginia McAndrews went the distance for her fourth win of the season giving up only one unearned run in the top of the seventh inning. Nicole Dimiceli had the hot bat as she was 2-of-3 with a home run and double recording a RBI and two runs scored. Jacobson recorded the other RBI.

Judson struck early in the first inning to make it 1-0 when Nicole Dimiceli hit a shot to left field that went off the scoreboard. In the fourth inning, Judson added two insurance runs. Dimiceli led off the inning with a double and then came home quickly as Jacobson singled her in. Jacobson scored three batters later on a Robert Morris error.

Robert scored one run with one out in the top of the seventh inning but then McAndrews had the next two batters ground out to end the game.

Game 2
Robert Morris 4, Judson 2

Robert Morris struck early in the second game and never looked back in the 4-2 win over Judson. Robert Morris crossed the plate three times in the first inning and then added their fourth run in the top of the fourth inning for a 4-0 advantage.

Judson battled back but did not get the hit when needed to take the lead. With two outs in the bottom of the fourth, Samantha Gladen singled to left center field to bring in Victoria Perez for the first run. Again, in the bottom of the sixth inning, Judson struck with two outs. Tricia Lakotish doubled down the left field line to score Perez to cut the lead to two, 4-2. In the seventh, Judson went one-two-three to end the game.

Jacobson went 3-o-3 at the plate while Gladen was 2-of-3 with one RBI. Lakotish had the other RBI. Jacobson pitched the entire game for the loss to fall to 3-4 and gave up two earned runs.

Judson will play three games on Friday, April 3rd, starting with Huntington University at 12:00 p.m. and then facing #9 Bethel College (IN) twice at 5:15 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
