Elgin, IL - Playing at home, Judson University (6-11/1-2) split its double header against St. Xavier (11-8/2-1). Judson won the first game 3-0. Picking up the win and complete game shutout was Heath Groves (Indianapolis) while Dan Miller got the lose. The first two runs for Judson came in the second inning on a RBI single with the bases loaded by Tim Victor (Mokena, IL) and an RBI fielder's choice by Manny Bobadilla (Cutler Bay, FL). The last run came in the third inning on a Bret Ehrlich (Elgin, IL) RBI single following a Matt McHenry (Blue Springs, MO) triple. Heath pitched seven innings giving up eight hits and two base on balls. St. Xavier's Miller pitched six innings giving up three runs, all earned, on seven hits and two walks while striking out four.

The second game was another pitchers dual, with Judson falling to St. Xavier 2-1. St. Xavier's Koehn picked up the win and Judson's Trent Golz (Bartlett, IL) was given the lose. St. Xavier scored first in the third when Tezak tripled to start the inning and then two batters later scored on an RBI ground out by Skelly. Judson answered in their half of the third when Kevin Fischer (Elgin, IL) was hit by the pitch with the bases loaded. St. Xavier scored the winning run in the sixth when Skelly scored an unearned run on an RBI double by O'Brien. St. Xavier's Koehn pitched seven innings giving up one run on two hits and one walk while striking out four. Judson's Golz gave up two runs, one earned, on three hits and one walk while striking out five.

Judson will next play on Tuesday, March 24th at home at 4:00pm in a double header against Cardinal Stritch.
