ELGIN, IL. - In dramatic fashion, Judson University (5-9) split their series with Indiana Wesleyan University (9-15) dropping game one, 5-2, but coming from behind in game two for the win, 8-7. Judson was down 7-1 in game two before scoring seven runs in the final four innings.

Egli pitched the final two innings in game two to receive the win and move to 3-4 on the year. Lucius had the game winning bunt hit that turned into an error by the third baseman that scored Jake Bostwick from second base.

Lucius led Judson going 2-of-4 with one RBI. John Banks had Judson's other hit on the game. Stefan Alinkas went 6.1 innings with two strikeouts while giving up five earned runs.

Royce Krueger was Judson's first run when he crossed the plate on a Indiana Wesleyan error in the first inning. Lucius then singled home Nate Haberkorn in the second inning to make it 2-0. That was the final run scored for Judson as they left six on base overall. Indiana Wesleyan scored three in the top of the third inning and then two in the sixth inning for the 5-2 win.

Game 2
Judson 8, Indiana Wesleyan 7 - 8 innings

Down 7-3 heading into the bottom of the sixth inning, Judson University put together four runs to tie the game at seven. Judson then took the win in the bottom of the eighth on an Indiana Wesleyan error, 8-7.

Egli, for the third game in two days, received the win. He pitched the final two innings for Judson and only gave up one hit with one strikeout. He also received the wins on Tuesday when he pitched two innings in each win over Wheaton College.

Trent Golz, Zach Williams, and Mike Krueger all had two hits for Judson. Fischer, Matt McHenry, and Williams produced two RBI a piece.

In the bottom of the eighth, Bret Ehrlich started off the inning with a pinch hit single. He was then replaced by Bostwich as a pinch runner and Bostwick advanced to second on a wild pitch. Indiana Wesleyan then walked Kevin Fischer when the Wildcats' Tim Ziegler was relieved. C.J. Sandmann came in for one batter, Lucius, and was done as the Wildcats' committed an error down the third baseman line throwing to first. Bostwick, already running hard to third base, then came home for the winning run.

Indiana Wesleyan picked up their first run in the first inning. Judson answered to tie the game in the bottom of the inning when McHenry grounded out to score Fischer. Indiana Wesleyan then added two runs in the second inning and four runs in third inning for a 7-1 lead.

Judson fought back in the fifth with two runs to make it 7-3. Williams brought in both runs with two outs when he singled up the middle to score both Lucius and Fischer. The following inning, Judson produced four runs to tie the game. Fischer hit in the first two runs with a single up the middle to score Golz and Mike Krueger. On that same play, Bostwick scored on an error to make it 7-6. Two batters later, McHenry had a sacrifice fly to bring home Fischer to tie the game.

Judson then worked their magic in extra innings to win their third game in two days. In both wins over Wheaton on Tuesday, Judson was down in both games and had to come back to win. The first game vs. Wheaton was in extra innings, too.

Judson opens up CCAC play on Friday, March 20th, with a trip to Chicago for a nine-inning game against St. Xavier. Judson will then host a double-header on Saturday, March 21st, at 1:00 p.m. vs. St. Xavier at Hoffer Field.
