TUCSON, AZ. - In their final game of the Tucson Invitational, Judson University came up short of defeating Minot State, 8-7. Minot State is receiving votes in the latest NAIA softball poll. Judson is now 5-5 on the season.

Judson gave up eight runs in the first two innings falling behind, 8-2, with six runs in the first inning. Nikki Prokuski received the start but did not record an out giving up four earned runs. Victoria Perez came in and went five innings and recorded two strikeouts but gave up four earned runs. Virginia McAndrews finished the final inning for Judson.

Judson made things interesting as they fought their way back into the game. They scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to make it 8-7 and had the tying run on third base when the final out was recorded.

Kristin Krueger led Judson with a 3-of-4 performance at the plate. Nicole Dimiceli had two RBI for Judson with a double. Liz Jacobson, Dana Dimiceli, and Samantha Gladen each had two hits and one RBI. Concetta Lampugnano also had one RBI.

Judson will next play on Thursday, March 19th, in Chicago at St. Xavier University in CCAC play.
