TUCSON, AZ. - Winning three straight games on day two of the Tucson Softball Invitational, Judson University improved to 3-2 on the year. Judson defeated College of St. Mary (NJ), 11-2, Northwestern College (IA), 6-4, and Waldorf College (IA), 2-1.

Game 1
Judson 11, College of St. Mary 2

Judson's offensive power came alive in the final three innings as they scored nine runs for the 11-2 win. Brienne Simmons went four innings for the no-decision after a 2-2 tie as Victoria Perez finished the game for the win. Judson scored two runs in the third and then five in the fourth and four in the fifth.

Nicole Dimiceli had three RBI as she went 2-of-4 with a three-run home run. Adding two RBI were Concetta Lampugnano (2-of-4) and Dana Dimiceli (1-of-2). Carrie Sensor had one RBI with a 2-of-3 performance and then Perez was also 2-of-3 at the plate.

Game 2
Judson 6, Northwestern 4

Receiving her first win of the season, Alyssa Cook went four innings and then Liz Jacobson finished the final three innings for the save. Nicole Dimiceli once again led the team with three RBI as she was 2-of-4 with a double and a triple. Jacobson followed with two RBI as she had a sacrifice fly. Sensor led the team in hits as she was 3-of-4 along with Kristin Krueger going 3-of-3. Perez went 2-of-4 with a double.

Judson scored four runs in the first and then two runs in the second to secure the win.

Game 3
Judson 2, Waldorf 1

Nicole Dimiceli hit the game winning single in the third inning to give Judson the 2-1 lead. Sensor had the other RBI in the game with a single. Krueger led the team with two hits (2-of-2). Jacobson had one hit which was a double.

Nikki Prokuski gained the win as Virginia McAndrews collected the save. Each pitcher went three innings. The loss for Waldorf was their first of the season as they are now 5-1.
