
ELGIN, IL. - Winning his second CCAC Player of the Week award, Josh Edwards earned the award for his play against #25 Trinity Christian College and Calumet College. Judson has now won nine CCAC Player of the Week awards this season.
Edwards averaged 18.5 points per game and 1.5 assists in two key wins to helping Judson to their second straight CCAC regular season championship. In a big win over #25 Trinity Christian College, 80-76, he hit six three-pointers and had 26 points. In the final 30 seconds of the game, he scored Judson's final five points for the win. With 23 seconds left, he nailed a three-pointer to give Judson a 78-76 lead and then hit two free throws with seven seconds left to secure the win. In the win over Calumet, he hit three three-pointers for 11 points.
With the wins, the 2008-09 team becomes only the third team in history to win 20 or more games.
