ELGIN, IL - Winning their 17th game of the season, the first since the 2005-06 season, Judson University (17-11/7-3) secured the #2 spot in the CCAC Tournament with an 87-52 win over Calumet College (4-26/0-10). Judson made 66% of their three-pointers in the first half and finished shooting 54% from beyond the arc.

Aubrey Parsons led Judson with 21 points but Kristi Siemers provided a career-high 16 points with five three-pointers. Alicia Rovertoni had her 19th career double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Moneva Fields had a double-double for Calumet with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

After two straight games of poor shooting in the first half, Judson over came their problems from the previous games and shot 62% from the floor and 65% from three-point range in the first half to take a 52-26 lead at the half. Judson had a 17-point lead, 26-9, with 12:54 left in the half on a Parsons' layup. Calumet responded with a 10-2 run to cut the lead to nine, 28-10 in four minutes. Judson then held Calumet to just three buckets from the floor the rest of the half for the 26-point lead.

Judson kept their lead in the 20s for most of the second half but took a 31-point lead, 74-43, on a Hannah Welding three-pointer at the 6:29 mark. Judson's largest lead was 36 points, twice, with the last one being 86-50, with 3:30 left on a Kirstin John's shot.

Finishing shooting 48%, Judson made 12 three pointers for 54% from beyond the arc and was 69% from the stripe. Calumet finished shooting 38% from the floor, 16% from three-point range, and 46% from the foul line. Judson forced 17 turnovers and only had eight of their own along with eight steals. Calumet out rebounded Judson, 41-34.

Judson will now host a second round game on Thursday, February 26th, at 7:00 p.m. playing the winner of the #4 vs. #5 seed in the CCAC Tournament.
