
JOLIET, IL - Poor shooting in the first half for Judson University (16-10) led to an 80-44 loss to the University of St. Francis (15-12) in a CCAC crossover game. Judson shot only 20% in the first half and did not make a three-pointer.
Aubrey Parsons led Judson with 17 points while Kirstin Johns gave the Eagles 12. Alicia Rovertoni grabbed 10 rebounds. Brittani Hunter had 15 for St. Francis.
Judson finished shooting 27% overall, 16% from three-point range, and 73% from the line while turning the ball over 20 times. Judson was also out rebounded, 47-39.
After a 4-4 tie just four minutes into the game, St. Francis outscored Judson, 32-6, over the next 10 minutes for a 26-point lead, 36-10. Judson did not hit the double digits in scoring until the 7:06 mark on a layup by Johns. In that time span, Judson had five turnovers and 10 missed shots. Judson was down 27 points at the half, 43-16.
The second half did not go much better for Judson as St. Francis pushed their lead into the 30s. Judson did make a run to cut the lead to 19, 55-36, with 9:23 remaining, but could get no closer.
Judson will travel to Palos Heights, IL, for CCAC play on Wednesday, February 18th, at 5:30 p.m. against host Trinity Christian.
