ELGIN, IL. - For the third week in a row, senior Dewayne Robinson (Memphis, TN) has been honored as the CCAC men's basketball Player of the Week. He averaged 23.5 points per game, 9.0 rebounds per game, and 4.5 assists per game.
Picking up his fifth double-double of his career, Robinson had 26 points and 10 rebounds in handing Cardinal Stritch their first CCAC loss of the year. The win by Judson puts the Eagles just one-game behind Cardinal Stritch and Trinity Christian for first place.
After Cardinal Stritch cut Judson's lead to six, 60-54, Robinson started a 12-2 run with the first three-points of the run to put the lead back at 16-points, 72-56. He then made a key basket with 1:26 left in the game to keep a five-point lead for Judson, 80-75, and then made 1-of-2 free throws with 23 seconds left. That free throw gave Judson a six-point lead, 83-77. In the win over Calumet, he produced 21 points, eight rebounds, and had a season-high six steals with five assists.
Judson is currently 14-10 and 5-2 in the CCAC and will host Purdue-North Central on Thursday, February 5th, at 5:30 p.m.
