MILWAUKEE, WI. - In a hunt for a CCAC regular season championship, Judson University's (12-9/4-2) bid to upset Cardinal Stritch (14-9/6-0) fell short by eight-points, 61-53. Judson's Alicia Rovertoni earned her 15^th career double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

After Rovertoni's 13 points, Aubrey Parsons had 10 points for Judson. Brittany Daum had 14 points for Cardinal Stritch.

Running out to as much as a 19-point lead in the first half, Cardinal Stritch had a 30-11 lead with 6:49 left in the first half. Judson finished the half on a 13-3 run to come within nine, 33-24, at the half. Parsons had six of her 10 points in that run. Judson only shot 37% from the foul line and 16% from beyond the arc in the half.

Once again, Cardinal Stritch kept their distance with a double-digit lead for most of the half. With under 13 minutes remaining, they extended their lead to 14, 44-30. Judson responded with a 10-4 run to come within eight, 48-40, with 10:09 left in the game. Kristi Siemers had six of the 10 points with two three-pointers. With six minutes to go in the game, Crystal Goodall dropped two free throws in a row to bring Judson within seven, 52-45. That is as close as Judson would come with Cardinal Stritch scoring the next five points to push their lead to 12. Judson hit a shot with 15 seconds left in the game to bring the lead back under single digits, 61-53.

Overall, Judson shot 35% from the floor and 28% from beyond the arc. They went 11-of-22 for 50% from the stripe, too. Cardinal Stritch finished shooting 44% from the floor, 28% from the three-point line and 75% from the stripe. Cardinal Stritch also won the rebounding battle, 34-32. Judson had 19 turnovers to Cardinal Stritch's 18 and recorded 10 steals.

Judson will host Indiana-Northwest on Thursday, February 5^th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Lindner Fitness Center.
