ELGIN, IL - Hitting the century mark for the third time this season, Judson University (7-6) put their record back above .500 with a 106-78 win over Lincoln Christian College (3-7). Judson shot 56% from the floor and forced 26 turnovers with seven blocks.
 

In his first game this season, senior all-American Dewayne Robinson picked up where he left off the 2007-08 season as he netted 22 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. Freshman Landon Skinner also had 22 points while Josh Edwards had 16 points and Dovydas Retkus 14 points. Retkus led Judson with nine rebounds. Jon Wallace had 29 points for Lincoln Christian.

"It's really good to have the whole team back together," states head coach Tony Tompkins. "Now we can focus on things as a group and just work on playing together. Tonight was a good night for us."

Adjusting to the new lineup with Robinson, it took Judson about nine minutes to get their offense moving. In the first eight minutes of the game, there were two ties and two lead changes. Lincoln Christian tied the game at two and 11 before taking a one-point lead, 14-13, at the 15:15 mark. Judson answered with back-to-back dunks in less than a minute by Robinson and Ryan Shelton, for a 17-14 advantage. Lincoln Christian scored the next four points to take their last lead of the game, 18-17, with 13:40 left in the half. Judson reacted with a 19-0 run over eight minutes for a commanding 18-point lead, 36-18.

Lincoln Christian brought Judson's lead back down to 11, 38-27, with their own 9-1 run. Judson came after Lincoln Christian, again, outscoring the Preachers 14-5 in the final 3:45 of the half.

The second half was Judson's most explosive with 54 points while shooting 61% from the floor. Judson's first 21-point lead came in the opening 30 seconds of the second half on a Robinson jumper. Lincoln Christian hit two free throws just 10 seconds later to bring the lead down to 19, 54-35. That is the last time the lead was below 20 points. By the 13:12 mark, Judson took a 31-point lead, 77-46, on a layup by Skinner. Judson's largest lead came with 11:13 left in the game on a Retkus layup for a 35-point advantage, 85-50.

Judson finished the game shooting 56% from the floor, 35% from beyond the arc, and 70% from the free throw line. They forced 26 turnovers and collected 15 steals. They also out rebounded Lincoln Christian, 45-28. Lincoln Christian finished the game with a 46% shooting percentage, made 27% from the three-point line, and was 61% from the stripe.

Judson will head to Chicago this weekend for the Robert Morris Classic on Friday and Saturday, December 19 and 20. They will face NAIA Division I programs the University of St. Francis (IL) on Friday and #16 Robert Morris on Saturday.
