ELGIN, IL - Gaining her second all-American award this season, junior Christina Thornton (Algonquin, IL) was named to the NCCAA (National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association) All-American first-team. This is the second year in a row that she has been named to the NCCAA All-American first-team.

Last week, Thornton was named to the NAIA All-American honorable mention team for the third year in a row. It is the fifth award this season she has earned in the post season as she was All-CCAC first-team, the CCAC Player of the Year, NCCAA All-Region, NCCAA All-American first-team, and NAIA All-American honorable mention. She also earned CCAC and NCCAA National Players of the Week, once, this season.

She finished the season with 20 goals, three assists, and 43 points while becoming Judson's all-time goals leader with 59. She is also tied for the career lead in points with 137 and helped with one of the biggest wins in the program by hitting the game winning goal over NCAA Division I Houston Baptist University, 1-0, in double overtime.
