ELGIN, IL - Taking one of the top awards for the CCAC, the Judson University women's soccer team had three players All-CCAC and the CCAC Player of the Year. Junior Christina Thornton (Algonquin, IL) was named the CCAC Player of the Year while both Lynsey McFarland (Scotland) and Emma Mugg (Shawnee, KS) were named All-CCAC second team.

This is the third year in row that Thornton has been named to the All-CCAC first-team. By adding the CCAC Player of the Year, she now has been a three-time All-CCAC first-team selection and the CCAC Freshman of the Year. Earlier this season, she was named the CCAC Player of the Week and NCCAA National Player of the Week. She finished the season with 20 goals, three assists for 43 points to lead Judson. In the CCAC, she finished third in points and goals. She is currently the all-time Judson leader in goals with 59 goals and points with 137.

Both McFarland and Mugg helped Judson with five shut outs on the season. McFarland led the team in assists with 12 and was second on the team in goals (8) and points (28). Her 12 assists ties her for fifth best all-time in a single season at Judson. McFarland is now also tied seventh all-time in Judson history for career assists with 19.

Mugg, who has been a strong defensive player for Judson the past three years, finished the season with two goals and one assist. She scored both goals against Cardinal Stritch in an 11-0 shutout win. This is the third time that she has been an All-CCAC selection as she was a first-team selection in 2006 and a second team selection in 2007.

Judson finished the season 7-11-1 and was the #7 seed in the CCAC Tournament.
