Elgin, IL - For the second time this season, Judson University has received the NCCAA (National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association) National Player of the Week for men's soccer. Gaining the award this week is senior Leonardo Silva (Brazil). Petar Bajic (Serbia) received the award on September 2nd.

Silva had one of his finest weeks in his career at Judson as he collected three goals and had one assist helping guide Judson to their fifth straight CCAC Tournament Championship. He netted both goals in a 2-1 overtime win over #2 seeded Cardinal Stritch on Wednesday and then gave Judson a security goal in a 3-1 win over #1 seeded Illinois Tech in the CCAC Championship match.

The week before, in the final regular season match, he scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Cardinal Stritch to secure the #3 seed in the CCAC Tournament. In the last four matches of the season, he has scored five of his six goals on the year. He had two against Cardinal Stritch, twice, and one against Illinois Tech with an assist against Trinity International.

Judson is now waiting to see where they will be seeded in the NAIA National Tournament and who they will play in the first-round. Judson is currently 15-5 on the season.
