Elgin, IL.- Bringing in some of the top talent in the Midwest, Judson University head cross country coach Rich Weinhandl continues to sign top notch runners. Choosing to continue his career in the collegiate setting at Judson is Tim Ciochon from Fremont, Nebraska. Ciochon joins Zach Adams from the state of Wisconsin for the 2009 season.

Ciochon is coming off helping his team to second at the Nebraska State Cross Country Championships. Fremont High School finished just one-point behind the state champions. Ciochon was 51st in the meet with a time of 17:38 in the 5K run.

A two-year cross country captain, Ciochon is a four-year letter winner for Fremont High School. Also at Fremont, he is currently first in his class with a 4.0 grade point average and earned the Midland Leadership Award. He is president of the National Honor Society and treasurer of the Spanish Honor Society along with earning a four-year Academic Achievement award. He is the son of Mark and Lisa Ciochon.

Judson will compete in the CCAC Championships this weekend in Bourbonnais, Ill., as they run for their first-ever CCAC Championship.
