Senior Kym Gagnon (Flagstaff, Ariz.) led JU with 15 kills and only had four errors on 38 attempts. She also recorded 17 digs. Sophomore Danielle Dull (Waupon, Wisc.) had 12 kills. Sophomore Deb Leganski (Elgin, Ill.) picked up 22 digs.
JU fell in the first match, 30-27. It was a hard match for the Eagles as they lost senior setter Brittany Nicely (Lebanon, Ind.) to an injury. Nicely pushed through game one but that is all she could give. Freshman Carly Campioni (Crystal Lake, Ill.) finished the next three games as the setter.
The Eagles took game two, 30-23, and then almost lost game three. Down, 29-26, JU scored the next three points to tie the game at 29. RMC won the next point to make it 30-29 but the Eagles claimed the final three points for a 2-1 advantage.
Game four was not as emotional as game three with a 30-24.
Judson will be back in action over the weekend of September 14-15 as they travel to Joliet, Ill., for the St. Francis Tournament. JU will face Cornerstone, St. Ambrose, Missouri Valley, and St. Francis.
