CCAC Player of the Week

Elgin, IL.- Adding to her awards at Judson, Christina Thornton (Algonquin, IL) was named the CCAC "Offensive Player of the Week" for her play in three matches last week. Thornton joins Ashley Williams (Lake in the Hills, IL) and Lynsey McFarland (Scotland) as the other Judson CCAC "Players of the Week" this season.

Playing in three matches and helping Judson to two victories, Thornton scored four goals with a game winner against NCAA Division I Houston Baptist. Thornton scored three goals in a 5-0 win over Calumet College and then netted the winning goal in the 110th minute just 52 seconds before the match ended against Houston Baptist.

Just a week before, she was named the NCCAA National Player of the Week for becoming Judson's all-time goals leader with 52 goals. She has scored 58 goals in her career and has 16 multiple goal matches.

Judson will host Robert Morris College in a CCAC match up in the final match of the regular season for Judson at 12:00 p.m.
