With nine ties in set two, the set went back and forth between both teams. Judson took a 6-3 lead on a Carolyn Terwilliger (Kansas City, MO) service ace and then Leganski made it 8-5 on a kill after that. The Panthers fought back and tied the game at 10 but the next 11 points were give and take with ties at 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 before Purdue-North Central came away with the lead for good on a Ashley Gallant kill. The Panthers went up by five, 20-15, and did not let Judson get any close in the 25-18 win.

Once again there were five ties in the first 10 points as the set was tied at 10 on a Helgerson kill. After that tie, Judson reeled off five straight points for a 15-10 lead only to see Purdue-North Central come back to tie the set at 20. Judson tied the set at 21, 22, and 23 all but two straight kills from the Panthers ended the set to give Purdue-North Central a 2-1 advantage.

It was an evenly matched set for the third set in a row with the score going back and forth with 13 ties. Judson took an 18-17 lead but then gave the point right back on a service error to tie the game at 18. Purdue-North Central then won the next seven service points from Alyssa Davis for the match victory.
