Illinois Tech 1, Judson 0 (OT) - Box

Elgin, IL.- Illinois Tech's Sara Wilde ended the overtime period about as quick as it started with the game winning goal just 36 seconds into the period as Illinois Tech (7-8-1/3-4) handed Judson (6-9-1/3-4) a 1-0 loss in CCAC play. Judson has now played in six overtime matches this season and fallen in four of them.

Wilde was on the winning end of a free kick as Stephanie Salem sailed the ball into the box. Wilde came to the right place in the box and quickly flicked the ball into the net for the win. Judson was unlucky in the box as they played a great defensive match only allowing six shots with four on goal.

Judson dominated the first half with eight shots to Illinois Tech's one. Judson had three shots on goal but Illinois Tech's Lauren McClelland stopped them all. Christina Thornton (Algonquin, IL) had the first shot in the seventh minute and then took another shot on goal in the 31^st minute. Rebecca O'Donnell (Wheeling, IL) took a look at the goal just before half in the 42^nd minute but was denied.

Illinois Tech switched goalies in the second half entering Lydia Benger. Both teams played closer together as Judson had six shots to Illinois Tech's four. Judson's Mackenzie Fowler (Crosby, TX) stopped her first shot in the 49^th minute as she had three saves in the second half. She then saved another shot in the 55^th minute and in the 81^st minute. Judson went after Illinois Tech in the first 25 minutes with all six shots but did not get a shot off in the final 20 minutes. Illinois Tech's momentum picked up in that final 20 minutes as they had two shots as one went just above the goal as time expired.

In the overtime period, Judson did not even have a chance to attack as Illinois Tech took the opening kick down the field and was then fouled by Judson. The foul led to Illinois Tech's free kick for the winning goal.

Judson has now played in six overtime matches this season and is 1-4-1. It was the second game in a row for overtime as they defeated Houston Baptist in the final minute of double overtime on Thursday, October 16^th.

Judson will now host Olivet Nazarene University on Wednesday, October 22^nd, at 3:00 p.m. at Dawson Field.
