Judson 3, Calumet 1

Whiting, IN - Improving to 10-3 on the season, Judson University (10-3/4-1) won their sixth match in a row with a 3-1 win over Calumet College (4-11/1-5) in CCAC play. Freshman Jason Parmenter (Lincoln, IL) collected his first collegiate goal in the 83rd minute of the match.

Adauto Oliveira (Brazil) continued his scoring rampage as he has scored a goal in the last three matches. He put Judson on the board in the 12th minute to make it 1-0 with a bicycle kick into the net. Gustavo Oliveira (Brazil) and Tom Kruse (Germany) put the ball in the right spot for Adauto to score. In the 31st minute, Leonardo Silva (Brazil) scored when Vitor Bravo (Brazil) found him open in the box. Silva then dribbled around the defenders and snuck the shot past the goalie.

In the second half, Calumet College cut Judson's lead to one, 2-1, in the 51st minute. Judson kept their one-goal lead until the 83rd minute when Parmenter collected his first collegiate goal on assists from Gustavo Oliveira and William Zardetto (Brazil).

Judson out shot Calumet, 16-7, and had five shots on goal to Calumet's four. Sophomore Alex Tyton (Elgin, IL) improved his record to 7-1 and 4-0 in the CCAC with three saves.

Judson will battle with CCAC leader Illinois Tech on Saturday, October 18th, at 2:30 p.m. at Dawson Field.
