Joliet, IL.- Christina Thornton (Algonquin, IL) and Brienne Bohman (Arlington Heights, IL) put a clinic on in scoring as they helded Judson University (4-7-1/2-3) to their fourth win of the season their third shutout with a 6-0 win over the University of St. Francis (2-8/1-4). In the win, Thornton scored four goals to become the Judson all-time goals leader with 52 career goals and Bohman added the other two.
 

With 52 goals, Thornton surpasses Leslie Ferguson who played in 1996-97 and 1999-2000. Ferguson had 51 goals. Thornton now has 122 career points and is third all time behind Samantha Vestal (128) and Ferguson (137).

Thornton collected goals 25th, 60th, 68th, and 87th minutes to break the record. She scored the first goal of the match in the 25th minute and then assisted on Bohman's second goal of the season in the 54th minute.

In the 60th minute, Thornton made it 3-0 and then Bohman collected her second goal of the match in the 67th minute. Thornton followed Bohman with her third goal in the 68th minute for a 5-0 lead. Finishing off her four-goal night, Thornton then made it 6-0 in the 87th minute as Lynsey McFarland assisted on the shot.

Mackenzie Fowler (Crosby, Texas) had two saves in her third career shut out and faced nine shots.

Judson will face nationally ranked McKendree University on Saturday, October 11th, on the road at 7:00 p.m.
