Rio, Ohio – Senior Tim Balatsoukas (Athens, Greece) gave the Judson University men’s soccer team their fourth win of the year with the game winning goal in a 2-1 overtime win over Kings College (TN).  Balatsoukas also scored Judson’s first goal of the game in the 2nd half.  Judson is now 4-1-1 on the year.

With the score tied 1-1, Balatsoukas netted the game winning goal just three minutes into the overtime period.  Milos Bajic (Stari Slankameh, Serbia) and Leonardo Silva (Sao Paulo, Brazil) assisted on the goal.

After a 0-0 halftime score, Kings College picked up the 1-0 lead in the 53rd minute and kept the lead until the final five minutes of the match.  The Eagles offense kept after Kings and finally in the 88th minute Balatsoukas tied the game at one.  That goal sent the match to overtime where Balatsoukas scored the winning goal.

Neil Thompson (Manchester, England) recorded nine saves in the win and JU out shot KC, 16-13.

Judson will host #21 Ohio Dominican on Friday, September 14th, at 4:00 p.m. in the Judson Tournament.
