Deerfield, IL - Judson University (3-7-1/1-3) could not find the net in a 2-0 loss to Trinity International University (7-3/3-1) in women' soccer. Judson has now been shut out the last two matches.

The first half was a defensive battle as Judson only took one shot and Trinity International had three shots. The Trojans took the 1-0 lead in the 33rd minute when Ruth Kratzer found the net. Just one minute later, Judson's Brienne Bohman (Arlington Heights,IL) had a look to tie the game but the shot went wide.

A bit more exciting in the second half, both teams combined for 13 shots as Trinity International took eight. Judson had five shots with two on goal. Just four minutes into the second half, Judson took three shots within two minutes of each other by Emma Mugg (Shawnee, KS), Christina Thornton (Algonquin, IL), and Rebecca O'Donnell (Wheeling, IL) but all three could not find the net. Mugg's shot was saved by Trinity International's Rebekah Niedermeyer and then the other two shots were wide and high.

In the 67th minute, O'Donnell had another chance to tie the game but Niedermeyer found a way to stop it to keep the shut out. It was in the 75th minute that the Trojans put the game away when Kelly Streekstra made it 2-0.

Overall, Trinity International took 11 shots to Judson's six and had five corner kicks to Judson's two. It was a clean game as there were only 20 fouls with Trinity International getting 11.

Judson's Mackenzie Fowler (Crosby, TX) had seven saves in the loss.

Judson will now face St. Francis (IL) on Wednesday, October 8th, at 3:30 p.m., in Joliet, IL, in CCAC play.
