Chicago, Ill.  – Taking on #14 Cornerstone University in the first match of the Illinois Tech Invitational, the Judson University volleyball (4-4) team fell in three matches.  They then went five games with fellow CCAC member Trinity Christian and lost, 3-2.

Against #14 Cornerstone, JU lost in three games, 30-10, 30-13, 30-23.  In the second match vs. Trinity Christian, JU lost in the first game, 30-26, but claimed the next two games, 30-28 and 30-23.  TCC then held off JU in the final two games, 30-27 and 15-6, for the match win. 

Sophomore Debra Leganski (Elgin, Ill.) had 47 digs in the match vs. Trinity Christian.

Judson will take on Ashford University (IA) and Illinois Tech on Saturday, September 8th, in Chicago.  Illinois Tech is currently ranked #2 in NAIA Region VII.
