
Wheaton, Ill.- Participating in a two day tournament at Wheaton College, Judson University won their third match of the season in the second day with a 3-1 win over Lake Forest College. Judson is now 3-16 on the year.
Judson defeated Lake Forest College, 3-1, with a 25-22, 19-25, 25-14, 15-15 win in the final match of day two. Debra Leganski (Elgin,IL) had 16 kills for Judson and Carly Campioni (Crystal Lake,IL) recorded 36 assists. Leganski also added 29 digs. Danielle Dull (Waupun, WI) added 11 kills.
In the first match of the day on Saturday, Judson fell to Cornell College (IA), 3-0 (26-28, 21-25, 21-25. Dull had 14 kills with Kiley Helgerson (Inverness,IL) recording 17 digs. Campioni had 31 assists.
On Friday, Judson lost to Claremont Mudd Scripts (CA), 3-1 (16-25, 25-23, 10-25, 22-25) and to Wisconsin-Stevens Point, 3-0 (18-25, 22-25, 17-25). All the teams Judson faced were NCAA Division III programs.
Overall, Leganski had 38 kills and 66 digs. Dull finished with 51 kills and 11 solo blocks. Carly Campioni, in her first action of the season after an injury, combined for 106 assists.
Judson will now return to CCAC play on Tuesday, September 30th, when they travel to Joliet, IL, to face St. Francis at 7:00 p.m.
