Rio, Ohio – At the Rio Grande Tournament in Ohio, a top 25 match between #10 Judson University (3-1-1) and #18 Fresno Pacific (3-0-1) took place as FPU came away with a 1-0 win.  The loss for the JU men’s soccer team ends their four-game unbeaten streak.

“It was a battle on the field tonight.  The game could have gone either way as it was an exhausting match,” says head men’s soccer coach Steve Burke.

FPU scored in the 33rd minute of the first half and took the 1-0 lead into the locker room.  The second half was a battle but JU could not find the net.  Overall, JU out shot FPU, 12-10.

The Eagles will have another tough test on Saturday, September 8th, as they play King College (TN) in the second match of the Rio Grande Tournament.  King is coming off a 3-1 loss to #2 Rio Grande.  King is currently ranked #3 in NAIA Region XII.  The match is at 3:00 p.m.
