
Judson made it 2-1 in the beginning of game one on a Danielle Dull (Waupun, WI) kill but then St. Xavier reeled off seven straight points to make it 9-1. From there, St. Xavier took control of the game and never let Judson back in contention.
Game two was the best played game by Judson as the fell, 25-19. There were five ties in the game with Judson taking the lead, 12-11, on a Carolyn Terwilliger (Kansas City, MO) kill. Down 15-13, Judson had a chance to cut the lead to one, but a call was made that a Judson attacker had crossed the back line in attacking and the point was awarded to St. Xavier to make it 16-13. St. Xavier then won the next point to go up four, 17-13. From that point, Judson did not get any closer.
St. Xavier led Judson on in the first few points in game three, being within one point, 6-5, but then scored four in a row for a five-point lead, 10-5. Judson did cut it to two, 14-12, on a Leganski kill but St. Xavier scored the next 11 of 12 points to win the match.
Judson will travel to Wheaton, IL, on Friday and Saturday, September 26-27, for the Wheaton College Tournament.
