Elgin, IL - The Judson University athletic department believes in helping and serving others. In the last month, two teams have served others in Elgin and in Wisconsin. Both the men's and women's cross country teams and the women's basketball team participated in community service.

In late August, the Judson cross country teams went to northern Wisconsin for training but also did community service. At the Silver Birch Ranch, the athletes served Polish youth from the Chicago area the entire week. The Judson athletes served all the meals, washed the dishes, and also played games with the youth.

In early September, the women's basketball team went to the Little Angels Nursing Home to serve the residents. The women's basketball players played games with the residents and created smiles for many of the residents.

Judson University athletes participate in community service every month either through their team or through the athletic department. If you have a community service idea that would be good for the Judson athletes, please contact Adam P. Ledyard at [email protected].
