Elgin, Ill. - For the third year in a row, the Judson University softball team has gained the NAIA Scholar award for their team grade point average. Judson is one of 67 teams to receive the honor from the NAIA and one of five CCAC teams. 
Judson finished with a 3.43 team grade point average which is the fifth best out of the 67 teams. The 3.43 also was second in the CCAC tied with St. Xavier and just behind Trinity Christian's 3.60. The other CCAC teams to qualify were the University of St. Francis (3.18) and Olivet Nazarene University (3.38).
 

Overall, the NAIA had 750 teams earn the academic award with a 3.0 grade point average or higher during the 2007-08 academic year.
