
Kobernus finished his two-year career at Judson this past spring and is now first in all-time walks/innings pitched ratio at 0.23, fourth in strikeouts (148), and eighth in wins (9). He helped to guide Judson to their first, ever, CCAC Tournament Championship and a berth into the NAIA Region VII Tournament, another first for the Judson program. He finished the 2008 season with a 6-5 record and was 5-1 in the CCAC.
He picked up two awards in the 2008 season as he was named to the All-CCAC Honorable Mention team and to the NCCAA All-Region team. In the 2008 season, he made 16 appearances with 11 games started and seven complete games. He recorded 60 strikeouts and only walked 11 batters in 76.1 innings pitched.
Judson finished the year at 18-25 and 12-8 in the CCAC. Judson broke several team and individual records during the season and tied the record for consecutive wins (9) and wins in the CCAC (12).
