The Judson University men's soccer team returned home Saturday for a homecoming tilt against Trinity International after opening their conference schedule with a 3-2 double-overtime loss at Olivet Nazarene on Tuesday. The Eagles enjoyed a 2-0 victory over Trinity in front of the home fans to improve their record to 7-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

The Eagles got on the board with just over 13 minutes remaining in the opening half when Matteo Jernee (JR/Absecon, NJ) scored his by heading in a corner kick from Pedro Rodrigues (SO/Rio de Janerio, Brazil) for his fifth goal of the season. Judson doubled its lead when Sergio Bortolon (SO/Itapema, Brazil) scored within the first five minutes of the second half. Rodrigues also assisted on the team's second tally for his second assist of the game and his fifth assist overall. Adrian Padilla (SR/Tepatitlan, Jalisco, Mexico) made three saves for his second shutout of the season. With the victory, the Eagles improve their record to 4-0 at Dawson Field. 

Judson will hope to keep their winning ways as they return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Trinity Christian for a 4:00 p.m. start.
