ELGIN, Ill. - - - Women's volleyball traveled back home after a successful Early Bird Tournament in Dearborn, Michigan to take on the Archers from Moody Bible Institute. The match was a last game tune-up before the Eagles start conference next Tuesday, and the team looked good sweeping MBI with scores of 25-11, 25-12, 25-19. It is Judson's sixth win on the season as they move to 6-1 overall and they also keep a perfect 3-0 record at home.

Next Tuesday will be Judson's first CCAC challenge as they host the Wolves from Cardinal Stritch University on September 5, first serve set for 7:00pm (CST).

The first two sets belonged to the Eagles as they put together long runs and minimized errors. Judson only committed 12 attack errors on the night and only five receiving errors on the defensive end. Libero Caryssa Tennyson (JR/Pleasant Prairie, Wis.) tallied 14 defensive digs on just two errors and Taylor Konchel (SO/Bartlett, Ill.) received 11 digs on no errors. Offensively the attack was well spread out as Claire Speweik (SR/Elgin, Ill.) and Kenzie Ebert rallied nine kills a piece while Katie Valeria (FR/Dodgeville, Wis.) totaled eight. The Eagles had their highest attacked percentage in the second set with a .480 committing only one error in 25 attempts. Natalie Ricca (SR/Crystal Lake, Ill.) and Natalie Kofie (FR/Elgin, Ill.) assisted the attacked with 21 an 10 assists respectively making up all but one of the total team assists. The Archers made a run in set three but a pivotal six point run in the middle frame opened the gap to 17-10 in favor of the Eagles. MBI would try to rally but fell short 25-19 for Judson's fourth, three set sweep this season.
