ELGIN, Ill. - - - Head Men's Basketball coach Brian Thrift has announced the hiring of a new Graduate Assistant/Head JV Coach. Kevin Kozan has been added to the basketball staff. Kevin played collegiately at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. 


While at HSU Coach Kozan was an all conference selection in the Great American Conference (GAC) as a junior and honorable mention all conference selection as a senior. He also scored over a 1,000 points during his four year career at HSU.  "We are excited to add Kevin to our staff. He is going to be a superstar in this business. His enthusiasm and energy are contagious and his passion for building young men is exactly what we want on our staff" says Coach Thrift.


Coach Kozan played high school basketball at Providence Catholic High School in New Lenox, IL. During his prep career Kevin amassed over 1,000 points and received numerous post season accolades. "Kevin has a tremendous amount of experience as a player, which will allow him to relate to our players and give him instant credability. I am looking forward to using Kevin in many capacities as we continue to move forward in building a championship culture here at JU" added Thrift.
