SHAWNEE, Okla. - - - Jennifer Donnell (JR/Schaumburg, IL) repeated as shot put champion this weekend at the National Christian College Athletic Association Outdoor Championships in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Donnell threw a personal best, season best, and NAIA 'B' standard mark of 13.40m Saturday establishing a new Judson record. It was the junior thrower's second consecutive outdoor title. Donnell also achieved NCCAA All-American status in the discus finishing third with a throw of 38.33m.

 

Chloe Burkhart (FR/Elgin, IL) was the other NCCAA competitor for the Lady Eagles. Burkhart battled the Oklahoma heat in the 5,000m run and finished in 13th place running a respectable 19:32.12. The Lady Eagles finished 14th out of 21 teams in the three day championship meet. "Jenn had a great series and her winning toss was a huge throw," remarked head coach Joel Popenfoose. "She took a big step forward this weekend and she is excited about competing at NAIA Outdoor Championships next weekend."

 

Judson competes next at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Gulf Shores, AL. NAIA Indoor runner up Anali Cisneros (FR/Elgin, IL), four time NAIA qualifier Jenn Donnell, and 3-time CCAC Champion Dan Becker will represent Judson in the 5,000m race walk, the shot put, and the pole vault at the outdoor championships.
