ELGIN, Ill. - - - The Eagles claimed the 2017 CCAC regular season title and continued success with 16 combined honors in both the CCAC and the NCCAA. 


The CCAC honors were announced Saturday on the second day of the conference baseball tournament in which four players earned CCAC All-Conference, three earned CCAC Gold Glove, and two earned yearly honors. Josh Krueger (SO/Romeoville, IL) and Ty Parquette (SR/Crystal Lake, IL) both earned CCAC All-Conference 1st Team while Cullen Mayhew (JR/Gatesville, TX) and Adam Rojas (JR/St. Charles, IL) earned All-Conference 2nd Team honors. In the field, Alex Galik (SR/Downers Grove, IL ) and Josh Krueger brought in Gold Gloves for the outfield and Sam Visconti (JR/Wilmette, IL) earned his Gold Glove award for the infield. Head Coach Chad Gassman earned his first CCAC Coach of the Year award while Parquette claimed Pitcher of the Year.


For the NCCAA North Central Region, six Eagles earned top honors. Krueger an Galik both earned All-Region for the outfield, Mayhew earned it as designated hitter/utility, and Parquette and Brayden Royse (JR/Elgin, Ill.) brought in All-Region honors as pitchers. Claiming Coach of the Year and Pitcher of the Year for the North Central Region again was the duo of head coach Chad Gassman and Ty Parquette


Judson, claiming their fifth CCAC Regular Season Championship, now advances to the NAIA World Series Opening Round play which will take place between May 16-18. Regionals will be decided Thursday, May 11th at 4:00pm (EST).
