ELGIN, Ill. - - - The 2017 regular season came to a close but the honors came rolling in for the Eagles as numerous players received All-Conference honors and honors within the NCCAA North Central Region. 

 

Judson finished third in the regular season for the CCAC and received three All-Conference selections. Skye Osborne (FR/Romeoville, IL) and Sarah Friedlund (JR/Dekalb, IL) were both named to the CCAC All-Conference 1st Team while Stephanie Stefancic (JR/Wilmington, IL) received the last honor as CCAC All-Conference 2nd Team. This marks the first CCAC selection for both Osborne and Stefancic and the second All-Conference selection for Friedlund.

 

For the NCCAA North Central Region, the Eagles swept all honors. All three CCAC conference selections in Osborne, Stefancic, and Friedlund received North Central All-Region along with Lauren Herlihy (FR/Frankfort, IL) who gave Judson the fourth and final selection in the region. Judson then swept the Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, and Coach of the Year honors as Skye Osborne took home the Player of the Year selection, Lauren Herlihy received the Pitcher of the Year selection, and head coach Venus Taylor received her third consecutive North Central Region Coach of the Year award. 

 

Other awards included in the honor roll was the CCAC All-Tournament team selections. Making the list was Herlihy and Nicolette Chapa (SR/Lake in the Hills, IL).

 

Judson now looks towards the NCCAA Softball Word Series that will take place in Roanoke, Virginia, between May 17 - 19.
