JU moves to 4-2 on the year and 1-0 in CCAC with the win. Danielle Dull (Waupun, Wisc.) led Judson with eight kills. Brittany Nicely (Lebanon, Ind.) recorded 16 assists.
The Eagles jumped on the Crimson Wave early with a 30-17 win. After a 4-4 tie, JU scored seven of the next 11 points for an 11-8 lead. From that point on, they never looked back. The Eagles took a lead of nine, 21-13, on a bad set by Calumet. A kill by Erin Bultinck (Elgin, Ill.) put JU up by 11, 25-14, as they went onto win, 30-17.
Calumet took a 3-0 lead in game two only to see JU score the next nine points for a 9-3 advantage. JU cruised through the game to a 21-9 lead on a Dull kill. JU’s Debra Leganski (Elgin, Ill.) ended the game with a service ace, 30-17.
Game three was a back and forth game as there were several lead changes. Calumet took a 9-6 lead only to see JU tie the game at 12. The game was again tied at 17 and a Calumet service error put JU in the lead for good as they went on for a 30-18 win.
JU will be back in action in the Illinois Tech Tournament this weekend in Chicago, Illinois, as they face four different teams.
