NAPERVILLE, Ill. - - - The Judson men's indoor T&F team competed in the largest indoor meet in the Chicago area Saturday. Approximately 25 teams and over 1200 athletes competed at the Chicagoland Indoor Championships with most of the NCAA (DI, DII, and DIII), NAIA, and NJCAA schools in northern Illinois participating in this two day event. The Eagles recorded countless season and personal bests Saturday in both the field and on the track.

The Distance Medley Relay finished 6th as Jhoan Lino (JR/Streamwood, IL), Jordy Arriaga (SR/Prospect Heights, IL), Joseph Sipiorski (SO/Algonquin, IL), and Dietrich Heiss (JR/Beloit, WI) ran 11:05.65. Sipiorski helped the Eagles move up a number of places on his leg as he ran an outstanding 1:57 split in the 800m leg of the race. Coach Popenfoose remarked, "Chicagolands was a great tune up for the conference championships next weekend. Our athletes had an opportunity to test their fitness level against top competition and I am confident we will be sharper and better prepared for the CCAC as a result. Our long sprint and middle distance crew took a big step forward this weekend and we expect them to score significant points at the Conference Championships next weekend."

The inaugural CCAC Indoor Championships is scheduled for next Friday and Saturday at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois. Competition begins at 1:00pm on Friday and resumes at 10:00am Saturday.
