ELGIN, Ill. - - - The National Christian College Athletic Association announced its Student-Athletes of the Week between Feb. 6th and Feb. 13th. Receiving the top honor for DI Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week was Judson's Illya Galloway (SR/Lansing, IL).
Galloway had three double-double performances on the week to lead the Eagles to a 2-1 record. The senior from Lansing, Illinois had 18 points and 13 rebounds in a 96-80 win over Silver Lake College, followed up by 21 points and 15 rebounds in a close 83-78 loss to Robert Morris University. To finish out the week, Galloway had 12 points and 16 rebounds in the Eagles' 79-70 win over NCAA DIII, Maranatha Baptist University. Galloway averaged 17 points and 14.7 rebounds per game on 78.6 percent shooting for the week and is also averaging a double-double on the season with 10.9 rebounds and 13.5 points per game. In the NAIA, Galloway is ranked No. 3 in total rebounds (305), No. 5 in rebounds per game (10.8), No. 6 in offensive rebounds per game (3.6), and No. 9 in defensive rebounds per game (7.3). Galloway is also No.2 in the CCAC for rebounding at 10.9 rebounds per game and No.4 in field goal percentage shooting 61.9 percent.
