ELMHURST, Ill. - - - Judson University men's tennis traveled Friday night to Elmhurst, IL to face off against the Bluejays of Elmhurst College. Being that this was their first meeting in their programs history, neither team knew what to expect from the other. The Eagles jumped out to a quick and decisive win at No.3 doubles with a win by Riley Rowan (FR/Algonquin, IL) & Michael Bruen (JR/Canberra, Australia). Judson No. 1 doubles duo of Elisha Hougland (JR/Hampshire, IL) & John Mittvick (JR/South Elgin) were battling in their match for the win and Judson's No.2 doubles team of Joshua Gronowski (JR/Streamwood, IL) & Carlos Clerins (SO/Spain) battled from behind to come back to secure the third point for the team as they entered singles play.

The momemtum from the doubles matches led to a strong showing in the singles matches as the Eagles sailed through their individual match-ups. All of the Eagles posted wins in their individual matches to secure the remaining six points, which gave the Eagles a 9-0 win over the Bluejays. Winners were: John Mittvick, Elisha Hougland, Michael Bruen, Carlos Clerins, Joshua Gronowski and Riley Rowan. Congrats to the Eagles' strong showing as they improve their overall record to 7-2.

Judson will have their home opener next Saturday at 1:00pm at Center Court Athletic Club against Millikin University.
