WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD - - - The Lady Eagles headed in two different directions for competition Saturday afternoon.  Anali Cisneros (FR/Elgin, IL) was a solo traveler to the Illinois College Snowbird Open and immediately entered her name in the JU record book.  In her first collegiate race walk competition, Cisneros placed second in the 3,000 meter race walk, setting a new Judson record with a finishing time of 14:56.39.  Her record setting performance met the NAIA A qualifying standard and she joins Jennifer Donnell (JR/Schaumburg, IL) - (Shot Put) - as the second Lady Eagle to qualify for the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championship.

The rest of the Judson women also competed Saturday in the prestigious NAIA vs NCAA Challenge at Olivet Nazarene University. Highlights included  Amanda Zylstra (SR/Mishawaka, IN) finishing 2nd in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 21:06.75 and national qualifier Jennifer Donnell placing 3rd in the shot put with a mark of 12.82m.

Coach Popenfoose noted, "Anali got off to a tremendous start for us at the Snowbird Open and the rest of our team picked up valuable experience competing against top NCAA Div. II, NCAA Div. III, and NAIA teams.  We got a clear picture of the work we need to complete in order to be ready to compete at the CCAC Indoor Conference meet in February."

The Lady Eagles travel to Illinois Wesleyan next weekend to compete in the Titan Open.
